Space X, a rocket company of billionaire Elon Musk launched two NASA astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken in the Space X Falcon 9 rocket with the newly designed ‘Crew Dragon’ capsule on Wednesday from the ‘Kennedy Space Center’ in Florida. The 19 hours ride took the astronauts to the international space station. This mission marked the first spaceflight of NASA astronauts from US soil in nine years. The launch came as one of the major successes for the US at a time when the nation is setting to recover from the global pandemic and economic slowdown.
This also marked a success for Space X, a company set on a mission to create reusable rockets to reduce the cost of space missions and space travel. This sustainable and cost-effective approach has set a benchmark and has lead entrepreneurs to get into space travel. It is one of the most trusted services company in the world today. Jeff Bezos transformed customer experience, e-commerce, and retail industry across the globe. The company has created efficient and cost-effective ways of delivering products to its customers. They have recently launched 1-day delivery which is expensive and costs extra shipping and fulfilling cost for Amazon. For one day shipping a typical order is $8.32 and Amazon spends $10.59 to fulfill and ship it. Despite this cost, it is creating a disruption in the retail and e-commerce sector with a deep focus on sustainability. The company has several sustainability initiatives. They are driving towards achieving net-zero carbon shipment through sustainable process improvements, electrifications, recycled material, and renewable energy initiatives. The company aims to reach net-zero carbon by 2040 and 80% renewable energy across all business operations by 2024.
Jeff Bezos in 2000 also found ‘Blue Origin’, an aerospace manufacturer and sub-orbital spaceflight services with a mission to building a road to space, with decreased cost and increased access. It is making a lot of strides in the aerospace sector and progressing.

Another such innovative start-up in the agricultural sector is ‘Pivot Bio’. This start-up has rolled with an ambition to replace synthetic nitrogen fertilizer with genetically modified microbes to provide plants with nitrogen they need. The company recently raised $100 million series C funding by BEV and Temasek.
